Hi Mike! I am trying to gain weight, so I have really been upping the weight as much as possible while still getting 8 reps and 4 sets in. However, I have heard that a great way to gain is to lower the weight a bit and do the exercise slower. For example, taking 10 seconds to do 1 rep of a bench press. I tried this at the gym the other day and really realized how hard it is, but I am still confused. Which will allow me to bulk up faster – upping the weight or slowing down. What’s your advice?
