You need high intensity workouts. Enough weight that you can do 10-12 reps. no more than 30 secs rest between sets (4-5 sets). Diet is paramount. You need to be eating mostly protein before training (70%protein 30% carbs), and then 50/50 after training. You also need to increase your calorie intake by atleast 500 to 1000 calories depending on your height and current weight. To avoid gaining fat during this time stay off the bread – in fact, any white or processed foods. Free weights!

Hour a day, or an hour every other day if your sore. If your really sore, then do fewer minutes depending on what you can handle or wait two days then do another hour or less. If you have a busy schedule at least put in 25 mins or so. You need consistency or results will not show.
This is for ‘quick muscle’. If anyone suggests low reps and heavy weights that would be pointless within a two month time frame. you need a good 6-12 months for a proper bulk building training regime. And what I am advising you is pretty much the same thing that Mike is offering.
It’s up to how much you can put the work into your schedule. The key is to make sure you work out different body parts in different days and having days to rest. Fore example, I work out 4-5 times a week: back/biceps/forearms/ Mon, lower body/abs Tue, chest/shoulders/triceps Wed, lower body/abs Thu, either the Mon or Wed workout for Friday, & Sat I play sports for hours.
It’s important to not workout the same body parts the day after because those particular muscles need to rest. Good luck!
