Amouage presents its new fragrance Honour.These perfumes are dedicated to the tragic story of Madame Butterfly, the geisha Cio-Cio-San who married an American and waited for his return for three years. As with previous olfactory 'chapters', Creative Director Christopher Chong set about telling a story with Honour.Inspired by the tragic denouement of Puccini's Madame Butterfly, Chong devised a lyrical scenario in which Butterfly's child, now a man, recalls early memories of his mother. Honour Man is a spicy-woody fragrance of classical compositions. The male version symbolizes the son of Madame Butterfly. Perfumer Nathalie Feisthauer composed it out of spicy notes of red and black Pepper at the top.
