At about 2:25 you said High protein eat veggies and keep sugar and carbs
low. I don’t understand I thought we had to keep carbs kind of ish high
because how would we give optimal effort in a workout without carbs? Isn’t
    it energy? Any explanation somebody?

First let me say a big thank you to Mike for all the work he has put into
these presentations, you are a great guy to do this for so many people.
Yes, it is a lot of mind over matter. Argue for your limitations and they
are yours. As a man thinks in his mind so is he. Limits exist only in your
mind. Ignore naysayers. Work out hard and consistent but work out smart.
Never stop learning. About 10 hers ago I saw a picture of myself in front
of the Christmas tree. I was shocked to see how over weight I was. I looked
like a fat trucker. It was no wonder! I was making pancakes a lot, eating
pizza on Fridays, and sweets at work, a lot of it was stress eating and a
quick fix for the anxiety I was feeling about relationship and work. I knew
I had to get a grip. I was in my mid 40s. I started taking p[pictures of
myself every week and comparing them. I was working out more regular in
spite of work schedules and avoided temptations. If you find your fire
inside yourself and a passion for change then you got the fuel for change.
    I a matter of months I did change, I lost weight,learned a lot and had a
body I was proud of. So much of the change was mental. I gave myself no
excuses and even if I had only 20 minutes, I did something. I also stopped
the pizza, and pancakes except as a occasional “cheat.” I am at a point
again where I want to lose some pounds and keep fit on a new level as I
enter my 60s. I just did the Illinois Warrior Dash. I was I think one of
two men there that were over 60. I had trained for month, studied the
course and obstacles and tried to do routines that imitated many of the
movements that I saw in the videos of the pervious year. Mike’s routines
had a lot of those components that I needs. I adapted to my age and
particular fitness level. I was able to complete the course, accomplish all
the obstacles and only slipped in the mud once. I was one happy muddy 61
year old by the end. The event not only raised money for St Jude’s Hospital
but became the fire for my renewed fitness goals. I am in great shape,
looks years young than my actual age and don’t plan on stopping. I have a
saying that I plan to work out until I am 120! I probably will and then
just do Tai Chi or yoga and hiking. There really are no excuses for not
working out at least some. I was at the gym and I saw a guy who had
deformed legs and feet and no hands! He was working out, using machines and
doing really well, adapting and figuring ways to work out using machines.
He did not look like he was slinking around feeling sorry for himself.
Another guy I saw often had deformed legs and lower body. He had a gait
that was jerky but his upper body was ripped. He was working out, happy,
friendly and making no excuses for himself. What he lacked in leg
development he made up for in his arms and chest and the greatness of his
heart. He was always joking, talking and shaking peoples hands. He was
never embarrassed to ask for a spot. He could bench much more than I can.
So what I am saying to you young guys out there who can’t get away from
your hand toys, TV or computer, enough excuses. If you have the desire you
will find your fire and if you don’t know where to start learn, ask
questions but start. Then internet is full of bull and also great
information – sift through it and chafe the way you look at working out
and your body. Same for older guys. I know I wrote lot but lately I have
felt I wanted to share some of my work out ideas ands successes. Best of
Luck and God Bless you in your goals and gains.

    I’m 1, I can bench 400 for 9,000,000 reps. Is that good?
