I can lunge 55lbs each leg and i got 8 reps per leg , equals 16 reps. But i
get worn out on the 3rd and 4th set and have to stop at 10 or 12 and then
pause for 20 seconds and do the last 4-6 reps. Is that okay? Or should i
lower the weight?
mike has a lot of great tips for guys out there, but he always says one
thing which really bugs me: lifting heavier weights will make your muscles
grow bigger faster. it is actually scientifically proven that lifting
heavier weights will only make you stronger faster, but if you’re lifting
lighter weights for lots of reps, then you’re still going to grow big
muscles.
Dude, I think Mike is getting bigger. Like, I want to get big and all, but
I don’t know if I want to get that big haha. I just want more strength and
get chiseled muscles. But I understand, it’s a big part of his life.

Funny thing is, I never lift heavy weights unless I’m at a gym. My
competitiveness kicks in when I see a guy lift even just one pound over me
and I think, “It’s on bitch…” Then I put on another plate and make sure
that the plates make a loud sound when they hit each other so he knows…

i dont really like Mike Chang… but this has got to be said. DAMN THOSE
SHOULDERS. im guessing he has a pump but still. It almost looks unnatural.
Is there a chance mike chan is on it? i wouldnt think so.. but those
shoulders yo.. im looking to get something like that (naturally ofc) Mike’s
shoulders would be a good goal to have in a 5 year time.. and then try to
get even bigger if possible.
I think a good technique is to do pyramid sets. Like you start off with a
light weight and high reps. And every set you add more weight and less
reps, until you reach a set that is heavy and low reps. That way you get
the benefit of going heavy, and using high reps. Click on my profile for

This advice is actually very good. A couple months ago, I decided to give
my ego a rest and just lift medium weight with perfect, controlled form.
Needless to say, I’ve been getting the best gains of my life.
Also, I go in the gym and do whatever workouts I want. That ends up being a
lot of pullups, dips, shoulder flies, etc.

I use 25 pounds for shoulder press and 10-15 for anything else should wise
and I feel like I die afterwards… damn I got a long way to go
