I can relate it’s really hard for me to leave the house… how long have you been scared of going outside? For me it got really bad a year ago
Suffered at the hands of terrible doctors. That doesn’t mean the whole system is that way. That just means you ended up in the ‘care’ of someone who had no sympathy and didn’t know what they were doing. I’m sorry for your suffering. However, there are some great psychiatrists out there. Some who have suffered just as you have and work to change the system for the better thru exploring other options while working w/ the current set up.
(continued) Thank you for playing a role in sparking the flame in me Dr Breeding…
PeaCe2U my friend…
I believe for some people, meds are the best route, while for others a lifestyle change is the best option. There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to mental health. Advising people to stop their meds, even slowly, is dangerous. Psychology and psychiatry is in it’s infancy as a science. The brain is complex and there is much we still don’t know. Just as ever area in life, it will make many mistakes along the way. No one really knows ‘the truth’ just yet. Sadly, many people have greatly
I have not seen the video, but a year ago I stopped taking my bipolar medicine all together and I ended up in the hospital soon after that. Maybe psych meds are not the best for me but in the short run I ‘need’ them.
I was thinking about the book Brave New World, and it strikes me that our society and the book are inundated with false belief systems. We are falsely led to believe that we must sacrifice natural law to survive. While it is true that a mentally ill society and individual can exhibit evil behavior, it is not something which can’t be corrected with love and tender care! The “powers that be” want even more authority, which translates to a society without love, I don’t want any part of it.
and I am still addicted to the SSRI lexapro I’ve been on it for a year but I will go off. I am on SSI… the whole 9 yards I’m so ashamed to say this but I really thought it was the only way to survive. I have agoraphobia I want to change this so badly, PLEASE tell me how you started to do the work that you do. I worked 2 jobs after I dropped out of highschool but after I started therapy I fell apart more. I take responsibility for how my life has gone so far
its been years now and im 26…i have to be drunk before i can socialize with people..even family members. 7 years on pills now..way too long they’re ruining my life
Wow incredible story, thanks so much for your comments. Glad you are doing well, and yes an Integrative MD is often the only real solution, so kudos to you for realizing that and taking control of your health!!
I’m on the same boat..it;s tough, i hate having to take these pills everyday just to hold off with drawels…cant even go outside i hate it
yes, great great points…also a diagnosis of ‘mental illness’ can become a self-fulfilling prophecy….ie because you’re told something is wrong with you, you begin to believe it and then begin to act in ways that reinforce the diagnosis…it’s the path of least resistence, which can be very tempting, it’s a great triumph to overcome the mental health system and start living one’s own life again…thanks for the vid….
I disagree with no one needs these drugs. Until YOU are born with a mental problem and it runs in your family a person can’t function properly without meds. I have seen it and lived it all my life. These meds cleared out a lot of mental hospitals when the meds were tried on them because Drs and others thought they were just crazy. This guy talking today may have the ability to do what he said he did. But there are the rest of us that can’t and have tried.
Psychiatric treatment with drugs and shock treatment never works from anything ive seen over the years… So why do only rich people get offered non drug alternatives from Psychiatrists now ??? If drugs and shocking works then no alternatives would be offered in the first place you would think…
let me tell you I’m only 21 but I’m already disillusioned and think psychiatry is a scam. I have been to the psych ward 3 times and been on at least 10 different drugs in the past 2 1/2 years. I agree that psychiatric diagnosis is not evil in itself but it disgusts me the way doctors use it to profit from out pain and belittle us. I have met so many mental patients and I want to find new ways to help but I don’t even have a high school diploma, I am so motivated though… how can I help?
Nope. Stopping meds like that “cold turkey” can cause all kinds of withdrawal effects and other problems, for best results, wean off them slowly. So if you had a bad experience just quitting them, it could be because of the way you quit. No one needs these drugs. There’s no such thing as a Prozac deficiency.
(continued) Leaky gut has been clinically linked to everything from psoriasis to Lupus and it’s the inflammation from leaky gut that is the primary driver of the out of control inflammation. Anyone can recover from mental illness if they would only embrace the idea and not believe/TRUST the psychiatrist’s. For anyone who is suffering who may read this, buy the book, read it and then find an MD who practices either an integrative or functional medicine.
Do you make the child learn in school and make him learn responsibility, or do you trust in the natural development of children, so that you love their development, and support it? Do you trust that we are naturally inclined to give love and affection when our needs are met? Do you trust that children love to learn? Do we impose a strict curriculum on the children that they naturally resist? When it comes to relating to people, trying to control or tame them is problematic. By – John Breeding
1:10 – 1:40 Dissent and you are insane.
That has been my experience as a dissenting Air Traffic Controller at Melbourne Centre.
ASA management deemed me insane because I reported problems with the Australian Air Traffic Control System.
It did not end well for me just as it does not end well for other “whistleblowers”

I have nightmares about being trapped in mental hospitals… there was one time in my hospital stay that my doctor threatened to keep me there against my will if I didn’t take a certain medication. Most of us with “mental illness” have already been through trauma and the hospitals just add to the trauma. For a long time I thought there was something wrong with my brain, now I KNOW my depression is a sane reaction to trauma. I was diagnosed with ADHD at 12 luckily my parents didn’t medicate me
I love how John talks about the Brave New World. There is a growing movement, supported by the Illuminati, to replace all government with females. The propaganda is that women would run a world without war. Perhaps they are correct, but at what cost? I’m reminded of the movie about amazon women who enslave the men they capture. The problem is not that men have control, and women don’t, but that we live in a totalitarian society where 1% have 99% of the wealth. Women in power won’t change this.
