This is very true.. I just found out how much music actually helps with writing, and art in general.. Sometimes I listen to a song and imagine the scenes or story or piece matching with each beat or lyric. The only bad part about that is I can only listen to the music while I’m doing my artsy fartsy stuff, else I’ll get distracted when I’m trying to do something important thinking about what I was writing or drawing. x_x
This is an interesting video. I made a youtube playlist a couple weeks ago for writing. I chose the songs based on their tone for the project I am working on. They all have lyrics, but even the lyrics lend themselves to the piece so its worked out. I do think I will seek out more instrumentals though to play around and see how I write with those as well. Thanks for the tips!
As long as the music doesn’t remind me of too many scummy musician ex-boyfriends, GOOD advice – unless im writing about scum.
This is very …. obvious.
Jeff waynes war of the world helps me out alot.
