If you clicked this video and were actually serious about learning the
information, you are an idiot. The old phrase, “remember what grandma told
you: make sure you eat plenty of fruits and vegetables,” is all you need to
know. You are what you eat. Think for yourself. Psychetruth is a for

I am skeptical of any diet that eliminates foods. I don’t feel satisfied
without whole grain carbs in my diet, no matter how much veg and protein I
eat. This is just how my body works. I am a balanced oxidizer. Some others
may thrive on Paleo, but not me. Oh well!
Although they have mildey different views on diet, I like the way Corrina
was able to focus on consensus, rather differentiation.
Here’s my problem with the term “paleo”: Which “paleo” man? The ancestral
diet of say the Inuit people, very high in fat & protein, little fruit &
veggies, is vastly different from that of say a Polynesian people, who ate
lots of fresh fruit. Tens of thousands years later we are a much more
homogeneous people. Few, if any of us, can even speculate on who/where our
ancestors were from.
I think I’ll remain pretty much sided with Corrina, in that yes, paleo can
used in many ways as a guideline. A diet based on eliminating processed
foods, limited fruits & all sugars, plenty of fresh veggies, some quality
protein, some healthy fats, nuts & seeds, and most of us will do just fine.
Agriculture is not necessarily evil. If it weren’t for potatoes, well, ask
the Irish. As to dairy & gluten, which should be minimised regardless, if
you want experiment with eliminating it, by all means do so. If you feel
better w/out them, avoid them.
Its really just as simple as that. No need to go out and waste your money
on a bunch of “paleo” diet books. Instead, spend it on local fresh produce.
I completely disagree that fruits are not as good as leafy greens. Fruits
are filled with healthy carbohydrates and natural sugar that your body
needs. It stores glycogen which your body uses for energy. Without carbs
and glycogen, humans would not be able to survive. EVERYONE FOLLOW +Freelee

You really don’t need to eat “complementary proteins” if you’re
vegetarian/vegan. All protein found in food contains all essential and
non-essential amino acids. Some foods have lower relative amounts of
certain amino acids, but not enough to make you deficient if you eat the
RDI for protein (56 grams/day for the average adult male).
Soy is a very good source of non-animal protein and is rated higher on
certain protein quality and digestibility measures than some meats like
beef. Even if you ate nothing but plain potatoes you would not only meet
all your protein needs, but also all of your essential amino acid needs
(although you would become deficient in other areas). Feel free to check
any of this info yourself. People really have a lot of misconceptions about
protein.
“DR XXXXX, Is the XXXXX diet good or bad” This has to be about the worst
possible stupid question in the entire real of health and nutrition. If you
accept at least a small amount of common sense to assume everyone knows
that sugar/salt filled factory food is bad. Then any diet is gong to be
forcing you to abstain from a food type which is simply depriving the body
of a possible mineral/vitamin/nutrient source, all for one purpose, loosing
weight. Sadly no one who has anything to do with diets is willing to give
up their overpriced parasite business to just give out the free info of
“eat less calories. do more exercise” that’s it, no stupid diets or morons
spouting pseudo science with no clue and just parroting something they
heard without a real grasp on the science behind it.
There’s a really great Ted talk called debunking the Paleo diet.
Basically, there’s NOTHING you can eat in 2014, that our paleolithic
ancestors would’ve eaten 20,000 years ago. Todays diet should be called the
farmers diet, really. If- you’re eating REAL food.
That’s what it all boils down to….

Gotta like dr Bellonzi but “lean” proteins of animals seems to often get
over stressed. I guess that there are those though that eat so poorly that
some lean animal meat might be all he can expect from them (some cheap
(absolutely filthy) chicken breast). I fall more in the camp of dr Joel
Fuhrman and find the concern over protein a bit over blown. I’ve read his
book Eat to Live and can’t recommend it enough. And reading it has paid big
dividends to both my wife and me. Thanks for all the good vids!

I’m so sorry… sigh.

would have eaten the whole animal.
