It is very ignorant to expose all of the bodies internal organs to this toxin just because they say it can help fight tooth decay. Which in reality fluoride accumulates in the bones making them brittle and easy to fracture. Fluoride causes dental fluorosis and pitting of the teeth. Not to mention what it does to the pineal gland and how it inhibits the body to produce melatonin in which we all need. Look it up and research what your putting in your body. This is information to protect you!

I asked my dentist about this, she got a bit irritated and listed off all of the studies done into this and the visible improvement it’s given to teeth and bone growth and how beneficial it is. They had to study this in school and take postliminary classes on it, study the biological effects and all that. To keep it brief, she basically said this is bogus, and they don’t have the science to back them up on their claims.

I will actually do reading into it, I have access to PubMed and other journal sites, so I should not have any trouble finding information on it. Maybe if I feel motivated enough and find enough interesting journal articles, I’ll even post a reply. I don’t take either side on the matter, yet, I’m just interested in the contradictions. I must say, I do appreciate the polite responses (i.e. sans personal attacks) people have been giving me, it’s great to have a courteous discourse 🙂
Additional: Fluoride obtained for use in water fluoridation is obtained as a toxic waste byproduct from many industries, including the phosphate fertiliser industry, aluminium industry, nuclear refinement industry, etc. It is not filtered in any way and simply shipped to the water treatment centre. There are no controls to make sure the mix is an even 1ppm. Sensors aren’t that accurate for fast flowing water, so the concentration of the toxic waste cannot be controlled of monitored.

There’s only bogus science to back up the mainstream claims that hexafluorosilicic acid is beneficial to health. It’s statistical studies, clinical trials, and scientific ‘theories’ that have no actual conclusions. The scientific studies that do actually come up with results and come to conclusions all state that there is only damage caused by the interaction with fluorine ions and tooth enamel. Also the fact that companies make billions worldwide dumping their toxic waste in the water.

It is far too easy for educated (or indoctrinated) health professionals to go along with whatever they are told and then not look at the newer studies. It’s the same with GPs, when they offer you pharmaceuticals to control symptoms rather than looking for the cause of your disease, because they are trained that way.
If you want to find out the truth, look up studies on PubMed that are to do with the ingestion of ‘hexafluorosilicic acid’. Look up the British standards BS:EN 12174 and 12175.

It’s one thing to regurgitate what we learned in dental school – it’s a whole other deal to actually cite valid studies. The largest study ever conducted in the US – 1986/87 by NIDR evaluated 39,000 citizens in 84 communities found that only 1/6 of ONE tooth surface had less decay in fluoridated communities….and this took NO other factors into account.
